AMETEK Programmable Power is pleased to announce the expansion of the industry leading Sorensen SG Series product line to 1000 V DC! Target industries/customers include:

●  photo voltaic (PV) inverter production test

●  capacitor charging

●  certification labs

●   electric/hybrid electric vehicle (EV/HEV) test and simulation

●  general T&M

Key Target market: The SG 1000V complements the Elgar ETS TerraSAS for PV inverter test applications and allows you to offer a solution targeted to the customer's application.

Specifically:

●ETS with its advanced PV panel simulation is used during inverter R&D, validation and in certification labs.

●SG 1000 V is used during production test where the customer is verifying inverter operation at a few voltage points and therefore does not require PV panel dynamic simulation capability of the ETS.

The Sorensen SG Series continues to be a product with big wins! Sales to our general markets have increased despite the recent world wide recession. The SG Series continues to experience wins in the test and measurement market, but we also have large wins in the process and control markets.
